Donations and Upcycled Items.

Heather Russell has crocheted this beautiful blanket for a Palliative care patient.
Cathy Bruton has donated 18 lovely tote bags, 10 drawstring bags and 1 warm knitted scarf.
Pam Neenan has sewn 20 drawstring bags for Uniforms 4 Kids Victoria using obsolete uniforms from Ambulance Victoria.

Beverley Brooks,  Valerie Pell and Irene Ashcroft have been very busy sewing and have made 30 tote bags and 61 drawstring bags between them.

Drawstring bags and totes are always in demand by many organisations we support and we donated 1,500 last year. Using obsolete uniforms is a great resource which keeps usable fabric out of landfill as well as providing useful items. I have plenty of drawstring bags cut out if anyone would like to take some to sew. If you have fabric that you'd like to use we make them approximately 12 x 14 inches but all sizes are useful as they're used for toiletries,  library bags, school supplies,  small toys etc. Organisations aren't allowed to use plastic bags so they can use as many as we can provide.

Hugs, Jan Mac xx
