More Finishes.

There's been lots of nanna naps this past week as we recover from the Christmas celebrations with family but I have also finished a few more quilts made from lovely donated QAYG blocks.  This first bright and cheerful quilt was made from blocks donated by Michelle from Victoria and they contain lovely kid's prints.

These next 2 quilts were made from blocks donated by Marie Lee and the Victorian Quilter's Association.  The first one is smaller for a baby's play mat as they have been requested by several organisations. The padding and bright colours make these blocks ideal for the purpose.

I should have more finishes to share tomorrow as I have been busy sewing today. Christmas fabric is on sale  at the moment, and we are planning on making Santa Sacks for kids in care for next Christmas  if anyone would like to join in. We'll also be making toiletry bags, measuring 12" x 14" and library bags for the start of the school year as kids can't borrow books without one and books are like air for me so I hate to think some kids won't be able to borrow a book because they don't have a bag.
I plan on putting up some sites for patterns tomorrow.
Many thanks everyone for your generous donations and support.
Hugs, Jan Mac

Many Thanks Susan and Bendigo Quilters.

Susan Iacuone very kindly delivered another 12 beautiful quilts from Mary Anne Rooney and Bendigo and District Quilters and the piles of quilts continues to grow again.

I've also been busy knitting baby layettes and need to knit beanies and booties to match these. Anne Sushames donated the pretty jacket in white and lilac and it will be lovely for a little newborn baby.
There has been such demand for basics from families under financial hardship that we will still continue making and donating quilts but also make library bags,  pencil cases, draw string bags and baby items for next year. I will add patterns but the website at http://threadingmyway.com has lots of free patterns if you want to make a few items to donate.
I hope you all enjoy a happy and peaceful Christmas and let's hope that next year is better for all of us. Stay safe and well everyone.

Hugs, Jan Mac xx

Many Thanks Margo and Karen.

Karen Bennett from Qld has very kindly donated these 3 beautiful quilt tops and matching binding, which will make more beautiful quilts to donate.

Margo Barber from Tasmania is a very generous supporter of Oz Comfort Quilts and she has sent another 2 large parcels containing the following 9 quilts. They are also varied in colours and style and will be treasured by their recipients.

I have more quilts to share tomorrow too. I had root canal work done last evening so I am a bit behind with documenting the arrivals but plan to catch up tomorrow.  We finished our Christmas shopping today which is a relief as we seem to be rushing towards Christmas with lots of extra events and we're still busy baby sitting for another 2 weeks.
Now we can relax a bit knowing we don't have to cope with the shopping crowds and can enjoy being with our precious grandsons. It's  wonderful to be able to see them again.
