Ten Fabulous Arrivals.

Lorraine Koenen and her friend,  Jenny, have sent a huge box containing these 10 fabulous quilts.
We're gathering quilts for the flood quilt drive as well as providing quilts for the organisations we normally support so all quilts are welcome for donation. We've had requests for more quilts from a palliative care provider and it's lovely to hear that our quilts are welcomed and much appreciated.

These fabulous quilts will be distributed to our flood quilt drive, palliative care patients,  and children in foster care.

Many thanks for your generous support ladies.

Happy Australia Day.

I've had a few free days this week so more quilting was the result and it's great to have more quilts ready to donate, especially as one of the palliative care providers has requested more quilts for their clients. Even though we're running a quilt drive for flood affected communities we're still providing quilts for the other organisations we support.

This lovely quilt top  in pink was donated by Diane Cutting from ACT.

Marion Thompson (Vic) donated this cute baby quilt top.
Marg Spencer (Vic) donated these cute QAYG blocks for a child's quilt.
Ann Lynch  (Vic) has donated the cute quilt tops above and below for children.
These lovely QAYG blocks were donated by Marie Lee and the Victorian Quilter's Association.  A big congratulations to Marie for being awarded the OAM today, for her tireless work promoting quilting and supporting Quilters by holding Gift Quilt days for Vic Quilters.
Jean O'Connor ( Vic) made the next lovely quilt top and Mary Anne Rooney donated the batting,  backing and binding.
Another lovely QAYG quilt made by combining blocks from several Quilters.

Many thanks everyone for your generous donations and support. I hope you all enjoyed your Australia Day and had some quiet time for stitching.

Some More Finishes.

Fran Cox has donated a Halloween themed quilt top, with batting and backing, which was already basted so it was a fairly quick job to finish.
Lesley Lowe and the Kyabram quilters have donated many lovely quilt tops and this cute I Spy quilt top was donated by them.
Lyn Betts also donated several quilt tops with backing and binding and it's a colourful one for a child.
Another donated quilt top which didn't have a name attached so please let me know if you recognise it.
Sharon Siacci of Beyond Meander Quilting has very generously donated her time to professionally quilt 3 beautiful quilt tops made by Diana Kenny. These 2 are special quilts and will be treasured. I still have to share a photo of Diana's third top when I  find suitable fabric for the binding.
I've had a productive few days of making drawstring bags, Santa Sacks and finishing quilts so it's been good to get some more finishes.  I should have more to share soon as I have more finishes just waiting for binding.
