I'm at the Australian Quilters Convention in Melbourne this week and having a wonderful time.
Yesterday I took Cecilia Koopman's class of Fish Eye quilt which uses strip piecing but colour placement helps create the effect. Cecilia is from Argentina and is an excellent teacher and gave a very interesting lecture last night on hiw she designs and uses colour.
Today I took a class with Marina Landi from Brazil, creating a collage of a bird, which was also a fun class. Marina is an excellent teacher too and very well organised.
I was also thrilled to win a door prize of 24 FQs of fabulous batik fabric, donated by Catharina's Vintage Stitches.
Tonight will be an early night as we have 2 more days of classes.
