Big Group Hug have requested drawstring bags as they were running short and, thanks to our lovely members we were able to help them out. I knew we had 230 drawstring bags donated by Barbara Black and the Monday Quilters and then managed to put together more so we donated 325 in total. We also donated 8 quilts, 2 blankets, 111 knitted beanies, 10 pair of hand knitted socks, 4 pair of knitted gloves, some trousers and a jacket. Thankfully they were able to arrange someone to collect the donations.
We also donated 30 quilts to Eastern Palliative Care today and they were very gratefully received as they had run out.
Pam Neenan was taking her donations to Backpacks 4 Vic Kids today and very kindly took some donations for us, including 34 teddy bears with their custom made knitted jumpers, a large bag of soft toys and a box of warm jackets and track pants.
Dianne Daly (Vic) has donated a large parcel of upcycled items for Uniforms 4 Kids Victoria, using obsolete uniforms from Ambulance Victoria. She has sent 4 fabulous nappy/overnight bags, 3 skirts, 5 pair of shorts, 8 bucket hats, and 19 pencil cases with pencils. She also sent a lovely crocheted blanket, 8 tote bags,4 pair of booties and 2 beanies. Dianne even lines the nappy bags and they are beautifully sewn.
Kathie Williamson (Vic) has very generously donated 36 beanies, 5 knitted scarves and some new undies.
Gill Rosser (Vic) has very generously donated 2 large tubs of fabric.
Many thanks for your generous donations and support everyone. Xx
