I'm Back Finally!

I haven't been able to access my blog for the last couple of weeks as someone had taken over my PayPal account and although no damage was done, I needed to update my computer with stronger security. Unfortunately that took a few days and then I couldn't access my blog. I've had a nasty sinus infection for the last few days so I'm running behind again so I will have a few posts to update what's been happening with arrivals and deliveries.

May 18th was a big day of packing donations and deliveries to Life's Little Treasures, which provides items to support mothers when they have a premature baby, as well as to Eastern Palliative Care.
We delivered 30 beautiful quilts and 6 beautifully knitted blankets to Eastern Palliative Care and they were gratefully received as our winter has arrived. The quilts or blankets are usually given to new clients when they first enter the program and they give comfort and warmth to their clients.
For Life's Little Treasures we delivered 16 quilts, 19 knitted/crocheted blankets, 58 knitted small teddy bears, 100 drawstring bags, 55 knitted baby jackets, 38 pair of booties, 28 beanies, and 38 hearts.
They were very gratefully received as they said their shelves are almost empty and they will now be able to make up more of their packs for the hospitals to distribute.

Quilters are so very generous and I received a huge box from my friend, Marijke, in The Netherlands. Marijke and her friends have made and donated 12 beautiful quilts, a beautifully crocheted blanket, 7 drawstring bags and 6 teddy bears with their custom made jumpers. Please pass on our very sincere thanks to your friends, Marijke, as your donations will help to keep some children warm as our winter is here.
Anne Jordan from Victoria has also made a very generous donation of 3 fabulous quilts, 5 quilt tops, 2 packs of batting and some fabric for backings.
Thank you all so much for your generous donations everyone as the need seems to be greater than ever as there are so many people in need of help.
Hugs, Jan MacXxx
