Winter Warmer with Waverley Patchworkers.

Yesterday,  my local quilting group, Waverley Patchworkers,  held their annual social day for members and friends. It was a lovely day with morning tea and lunch provided as well as a very interesting guest speaker, Monica Boldogh, a textile artist.
Her quilt, Bird Watch, won Best of Show at AQC in 2022 and a lot of her wois based on birds as well as her new designs of fairies.

Monika also designs her own fabric range and her work was lovely to see up close.

I loved how she used a simple curved block to create birds.
It was a lovely day doing some stitching, buying fabric and spending time with quilting friends.
