More Mindless Sewing

Not good photo but it shows another string quilt I finished today. The death tool from the bushfires is now at 173 and still expected to rise as more remote areas are accessed.
I'm keeping busy by more mindless sewing which at least has the benefit of resulting in a quilt to keep someone warm.
I guess that's a typical quilter's reaction and I know it's helping me by keeping me focused on how I can help others.
Hugs

I was just thinking the same thing yesterday, as I started a new quilt for a friend with a brain tumor who just got out of the ICU. You just feel so helpless, and that was the only way I could think of to make a difference for her. I thought she'd like a pretty bright quilt to lay under while she is in the physical rehabilitation center. Just wanted you to know that what you said here struck a chord with me. I think the work you are doing is wonderful, and makes a big difference in this awful time. I have many scraps waiting to be made into strings, and will get started on those as soon as I finish this one I started yesterday. I'm almost finished all of the blocks for the top, so that should be relatively soon. Keep up the amazing work!
