The Monday Quilters

Barbara Black from the Monday Quilters from Macedon has delivered an incredible 90 quilts  and 353 drawstring bags all made from donated UFOs,  orphan blocks and fabric. They are an amazing help to turn these donations from downsizing Quilters and deceased estates. They picked up these donated items from me in February and have done an amazing job. These are just 27 of the quilts which were made for children and I will share more photos of the remaining quilts as I unpack them.

I'm a bit behind with my blog posts so hope to catch up soon.

New Arrivals and What We Need.

Sharon Siacci from Beyond Meander Quilting has very generously donated another 3 fabulous quilts which will soon be giving warm hugs to people in need.

Sharon also donated some lovely soft toys and a large amount of fabric as she is moving back to New Zealand. She's been very generously Quilting tops for Oz Comfort Quilts and she's very much appreciated.

Norma Aitken has very kindly cut another 18 kits for drawstring bags.

Maureen dropped in with a large bag of UFOs, Santa stocking panels, patterns and fabric which will all be put to good use ASAP.

We've had a request for large drawstring bags, sized 18 x 20 inches, as well as baby's bibs for Big Group Hug.  They also need extra large drawstring bags, sized 24 x 30 inches which they use to package sheet sets, blankets  etc for distribution.

Backpacks 4 Vic Kids has also requested gifts for their Christmas program. When I started supporting them they used to make up 2,000 Santa Sacks for children in foster care and it has now expanded to 7,200 needed this year. The Santa Sacks are a drawstring bag sized 16 x 20 inches or 20 x 24 inches.  Calico or plain red or green fabric is fine with some Christmas fabric used to decorate it. If you have time to make some or some gifts to donate I am happy to deliver them to Backpacks or you can post or deliver direct to 26 Remount Way, Cranbourne West. They are closed on Mondays. Or if you have poly cotton fabric or excess fabric then the drawstring bags would be really appreciated.
