This Week's Finishes.

Thankfully this weekend was a bit cooler so wrestling quilts through the machine was a bit easier. Sharon Siacci of Beyond Meander Quilting has very generously donated her quilting services again and has beautifully quilted the first 2 tops. Sandy Askill from SA made the fabulous first top and it will be treasured by it's new owner.
Sandra Orszaczky from ACT has also been very generous with her donation of many tops and this lovely bright top with cats has been enhanced by Sharon's use of cat paw prints for the quilting.
Alison Watson from Victoria has also been very generously donating to our quilt drive and these lovely QAYG blocks have made a beautiful quilt to comfort someone.
Wendy Evans from Victoria donated these lovely masculine QAYG blocks and they make a great quilt for a male.

Robin Walker and the Fishbowler Sewists from Tasmania very generously donated many quilts and tops and this last one is one of theirs and will be another lovely  lap quilt to donate.

Many thanks everyone for your generous donations and support.

More Comings.

Rosemary Kreun and the Cranbourne Uniting Patchworkers have donated these 8 beautiful quilts and they will be very gratefully received when we distribute these as there are so many people in need of a warm hug.

They also donated these beautiful knitted baby garments, teddy bear and a baby blanket.
They also donated 4 rolls of fabric to use for bags and backing.

Norma Aitken from Victoria has dropped off more donated knitting wool, fabric and a treasure trove of buttons which will be great for finishing off more garments for babies and children.

Jo Menzies (Vic) has been very busy making  these 12 beautifully lined library bags, with cloth labels sewn inside for the child's name to be added; and 4 large rolls of prepared binding. I used one of the rolls to bind quilts today so only 3 rolls shown here. Lol. Some of the library bags have beautiful applied animals as decoration and the others are in bright kid's prints which the kids will love.
Many thanks everyone for your help.

More Wonderful Donations.

I don't enjoy blogging as much since they changed the way photos load onto the site as they are mostly not in the order as I loaded them. Rather than trying again I will just label each photo.ft

Helen Ayres from Victoria,  donated these 8 lovely  burp cloths.
Maria Wilson from WA has very kindly made and sent 4 library bags with matching pencil cases, in great kid's prints.
Carleen Richardson and Beth Barr, from Tasmania, donated a large amount of Sheridan sheeting for backings which will make it a lot quicker to get tops finished.
Marcie O. from Victoria  donated this beautiful crocheted blanket.
Jo Calder from Victoria donated these 10 lovely library bags in bright kid's prints.
I finished another 9 burp cloths to donate to needy families with newborns.
Marcie O. also donated these 2 beautiful crocheted blankets.
Helen Ayres from Victoria also donated these 2 lovely quilts,  shown above and below.

Ros Devine from Victoria donated this lovely blue quilt as well as the beautiful quilt below. Ros had planned to hand quilt the large quilt and had it machine basted but decided to donate it instead and it will be donated for a patient at Peter Mac.

Many thanks for your fabulous donations everyone.

Visiting Wairewa and More Finishes.

We're back home after a few days away delivering quilts to the Wairewa community in East Gippsland and we enjoyed bush camping in the valley nearby. Twenty four quilts were delivered with 20 going to Wairewa families and 4 more to Buchan families who weren't ready to accept quilts last time we visited them.
I've also been busy quilting more tops for AQA and these lovely tops were made by members of my quilting group.

We haven't been able to hold meetings since February last year and it was lovely to hold an informal gathering in a park last week and I also handed over another 15 Oz Comfort Quilts to Foster Carers of Victoria as well as receiving more donations, which I will share tomorrow.

Quilts and Jackets To Donate.

The first 2 beautiful quilts have been made from donated QAYG blocks and they never disappoint. The first quilts blocks came from several different quilters and the second quilt was made from smaller QAYG blocks donated by Marie Lee and the Victorian Quilter's Association.
Janet Walsh,  from the Wattle Park Chapel, donated these 3 beautiful knitted jackets with hoods and they are very soft and cuddly.

I also quilted another top for AQA'S Gift Quilt Program and I pinned some more tops as well so I can get more quilts finished.
