More Generous Donors.

Lots of lovely donations continue to arrive and as quickly as they are coming in, I'm sorting and packing them to deliver where they're needed. Pam Neenan and friend have donated a beautifully crocheted blanket,  a knitted beanie and a beautiful Block of the Month kit.
Kaye Hardman,  her lovely mother,  Billie, and Kaye's friends,  have been very busy knitting and have donated 2 baby's blankets,  5 beautifully knitted baby jackets,  23 knitted teddies  and 10 beanies.

Kathie Williamson has generously donated 2 more large bags of donations including  lots of clothing for babies and older children,  2 baby wraps, 6 knitted scarves, a bag, toiletries and some fabric.

Bronwen McCoy donated a lovely quilt,  2 cute teddy bears with their custom made jumpers and 6 Santa Sacks.

Hilary Thornton from NSW has sent another large parcel containing 14 Santa Sacks,  21 drawstring bags,  5 lovely quilt tops and some fabric for backing.

It's lovely to have such generous support and it does make a real difference to the communities affected by floods. I've also been asked for more quilts for Ukrainian refugees so the demand for quilts continues,  especially as we've had some colder weather.

Many thanks for your donations everyone.

Quilts From Bendigo and District Quilters.

Many quilting groups have supported our flood quilt drive and Bendigo and District Quilters have sent another 51 quilts for Rochester. Mary Anne Rooney has very generously delivered them to Lesley Lowe in Kyabram and from there they have been distributed to Rochester.

So many beautiful quilts are bringing warm hugs to let people know that they've not been forgotten. All of the quilts and knitted/crocheted blankets we've sent up have been distributed and we hope to make another delivery, with the assistance of Norma Aitken from Waverley Patchworkers, in about 10 days time so if you have any quilts ready to donate they will be gratefully received.

Flood Quilt Drive Update.

All the quilts and blankets that we have donated to Rochester for the flood quilt drive have been given out and we're looking for more quilts as the cold weather has made life very tough for those affected by the floods.
We hope to deliver more into the area in about 10 days time so if you have a quilt ready to go it would really be appreciated. Of course the biggest quilts are always in demand. I've also been asked for more quilts for the Ukrainian refugees and they have requested about 10 of single or double bed size.
We've also been in touch with Big Group Hug and I will provide a more detailed update shortly but they are in need of drawstring bags, baby beanies, bibs and booties as well as hand knits for older children.
I've received a lovely email from someone in Rochester who has received a quilt and it's lovely to hear how much they are appreciated. Lesley Low and Kaye Clarke have been distributing them and they say that there are many tears of joy when people receive a quilt for themselves. Barbara Black and the Monday Quilters provided quite a few quilts and this lady received one of theirs.

Hi,
I am a Rochester resident and have just received my beautiful quilt. Thank you so much for organising this generous donation, it is so appreciated.
It was made by the Monday quilters so if you could pass my thanks on to them that would be great.
Thanks again,
Claire

Ten Fabulous Arrivals.

Lorraine Koenen and her friend,  Jenny, have sent a huge box containing these 10 fabulous quilts.
We're gathering quilts for the flood quilt drive as well as providing quilts for the organisations we normally support so all quilts are welcome for donation. We've had requests for more quilts from a palliative care provider and it's lovely to hear that our quilts are welcomed and much appreciated.

These fabulous quilts will be distributed to our flood quilt drive, palliative care patients,  and children in foster care.

Many thanks for your generous support ladies.
