Caught Up.

It's been a busy day catching up on all the donations that have arrived since Friday so I  can acknowedge our very generous supporters. Today I  bound the 3 quilts which Sharon Siacci of Beyond Meander Quilting very kindly quilted and I have 5 more to do. Sharon is very professional, does a brilliant job and I can highly recommend her.
Sharon Siacci of Beyond Meander Quilting quilted this beautiful quilt top donated by Michelle Cahoon (Vic) and I  added a multi fabric binding.
This lovely batik jelly roll top was donated by Maia Butler from NSW and quilted by Sharon. Maia sent it as a backing but it was too pretty so we're using it as a quilt top.
This lovely One Block Wonder quilt, made in cuddly flannel,  by Sandra Still and quilted by Sharon Siacci of Beyond Meander Quilting.
Robin Walker and the Fishbowler Sewists from Launceston Tasmania sent another 2 large parcels containing the following 6 quilts.

They are beautiful and will be sure to bring comfort.

Maia Butler from NSW has sent another large parcel containing the following 2 quilts as well as a top, binding and 2 sets of QAYG blocks.

There are 16 of the cute fox blocks and 36 of the other QAYG blocks.
Bernice Park from Tasmania has sent another large parcel this time with 58 QAYG blocks and 4 sets of binding.

Susan Wild from Qld sent a lovely parcel of 40 QAYG blocks and another large parcel of fabric strips.
There were too many for just one blog post so I will continue with the rest tomorrow.
Thank you so much for continuing to support our bushfire quilt drive.

Donated Quilts.

I received lots of parcels over the past 3 days, yes the postal deliveries have been happening on the weekend too. I have also had 4 people drop in with quilts and tops so I will get them photographed and acknowledged as soon as possible.
Denise Sherlock (Vic) donated the first 4 fabulous quilts in bright colours.

Sharon Siacci of Beyond Meander Quilting (Vic) made the next quilt which has a "stepdown" design.
Shelley Ryan (Vic) donated the next 9 beautiful quilts as well as a box of bed linen and a cloth bag.

It's lovely to continue to receive so much support for the bushfire quilt drive as I was worried that the Covid-19 virus effects would break our momentum. I  would think we have over 500 quilts ready to donate very soon, but once we start distribution again we will need many more than that to help those who list their livelihoods and homes.
Thank you all so much for your ongoing support.

Christmas in May, Quilts and 2 UFOs Finished.

It's been a busy weekend as restrictions have lifted somewhat and we were finally able to have our children and their partners over to visit.  Our eldest DD was working last Christmas and we were planning on having another Christmas gathering in January but due to family illness and the Covid-19 virus,  we were unable to hold it until this weekend. It was lovely to finally get together but I was so busy with cooking etc that I didn't have time to take photos.
I also finished quilting 5 more donated tops,  the first is from Sarah Williams (NSW) and it's such a beautiful quilt.
Illene Tiziani (Vic) donated this lovely seaside kid's quilt top.
Helen Stewart from Vic sent this lovely large top for a male.
Wendy Snook (Vic) donated this beautiful pastel quilt top.
Clare Jamieson from WA sent this beautiful top for a young boy.
I also finished 2 knitting projects that had been put aside for a while and finished these baby jackets for the Peter Mac auxiliary shop to sell and raise funds for patient services. So that's  UFO 4 and 5 finished for this year, which is slower than last year but better than none.
I also received an incredible amount of donations over the last few days and will have to document and photograph everything as soon as possible.  It was lovely to have some family time and I will catch up as soon as I can.

More Beautiful Donations Arrived.

Clare Jamieson from WA sent these 6 beautiful tops for kids. They're a large size and there are fabrics suitable for boys and girls which the kids will live.

She also sent 5 orphan blocks and labels for the quilts. I plan on quilting them soon so they can go out when we start distribution again.
Linda Rother from Qld sent these delightful teddy bear blocks and they will make such fun quilts for kids.
There's so much work in these blocks and they will be treasured so I hope to finish them off soon.
Thanks so much for your very generous donations everyone.
