People Are Incredibly Generous.

Linda Rother from Qld, was incredibly generous and donated 4 BOMs, some of which have been started.  They will make such lovely donation quilts so it will be a pleasure to finish and donate these on her behalf.
Illene Tiziani and Mary Vuillerman from Vic have been very busy and made 51 and 35 QAYG blocks respectively and they will make some lovely quilts.
Helen Stewart from Vic, has sent a second parcel and this one contained a lovely kid's top , binding and 4 lots of backing fabric .
Carleen Richardson from Tas, sent 2 huge parcels of sheeting/backing fabric and I have been using some already.
I also received very generous monetary donations with $114 AU from Julia Webb from Austin, Texas; and Margo Barber from Tasmania has very generously donated a Spotlight gift card for $100. Thank you both so much!! I had bought $400 worth of batting and this has been covered by donations so I will buy more as it will certainly be needed.
I was up at 6.30 so I  could get organized for the day as I had a registered parcel to pick up and I wanted to post some donations to St Kilda Mums as they help disadvantaged pregnant women and mums with newborns to be equipped to look after their babies. I had some baby clothes etc to donate and I wanted to get it done to make more shelf space for the arriving donations.
Thd other reason for getting organized was that Sharon Siacci, from Beyond Meander Quilting,  very generously offered to quilt 6 donated tops and I wanted to make sure that I had the backing and batting ready as a kit for each top .
These little cherubs both slept for 2 hours this afternoon so I  got the tops ready and pinned a few to quilt. It was a very productive day but tonight might be an early night.  I have also decided that I need to sell some of my antique quilts, tops and blocks, and special textile books,  as it doesn't look like I will have time for them for quite a while and I need the space for gift quilts . I also have about 6 large tubs of quilting and cross stitch kits and patterns which Peter Mac have given me.  There is much more than I can use in this lifetime to make things to sell in their shop so I said I would sell them and give them the money raised. Prices would be 30 to 50% less cost and I was thinking of having a destash page on Instagram and perhaps having a market day here for those who would like to drop in, see the items and save on postage. Anyone have any thoughts? My quilts etc will be at or below cost as I need the space and can use the money to fund Oz Comfort Quilts .
Better get back to stitching labels on quilts. There will be more to share tomorrow.
Many thanks for your support everyone.
Hugs, Jan Mac
