New Arrivals.

Gail Pan very generously donated these 3 fabulous quilts which will soon be giving warm hugs.

About a month ago I cut out fabric for 200 drawstring bags and Beverley Brooks and friends  very kindly made them up into bags. Beverley also cut up more fabric for those as well as tote bags.
Audrey Lile made 13 drawstring bags and 2 large bags.
Valerie Pell made 79 drawstring bags.
Irene Ashcroft made 95 drawstring bags including 52 made from obsolete uniforms donated by Ambulance Victoria which will be distributed by Uniforms 4 Kids Victoria. I cut the fabric for the bags with one side uniform fabric and the other made by donated fabric which had been pieced.
Irene Ashcroft also made 17 tote bags and 33 large bags.

Drawstring bags and tote bags are always in demand by many organisations as they serve so many purposes and also save lots of fabric from landfill.

Many thanks to all of our wonderful supporters who so generously use their skills and time to help others in need.

Going Out.

Today Pam Neenan very kindly couriered a car load of donations to Backpacks 4 Vic Kids for us. We donated 38 quilts,  15 teddies with custom made jumpers,  boxes of handknits, new books and toys, 10 pair of shorts and 3 very large bags of fleece fabric for their sewing group to make into tracksuit pants.

From Uniforms 4 Kids Victoria we also donated 10 pair of shorts and 2 bucket hats.

I've included a photo to show some of the shorts that I upcycled by covering the logo with a fabric badge. I also use feature fabric to cover up logos but if anyone has any of these type of badges they'd be great.

Many thanks everyone for your generous contributions.
